Pirate runners, jumpers stand out against larger schools

The Pirate track and field team participated in two large invitational meets over the past two weekends. The events gave both newcomers and seasoned participants the opportunity to compete against a host of larger high school teams, while shining the spotlight on several girls’ team members.

The Vashon Seals Swim Team welcomed acclaimed swimmer Ariana Kukors as she crashed their practice on April 1. Kukors and her teammate and friend Rebecca Soni recently started what they call “practice crashes,” where they drop in on swim practices, surprise the swimmers and share a couple of stories with the team.

Rowers race through the cut at Husky Open
