This past weekend, the Vashon Seals Swim Team sent 28 swimmers to compete in the annual Daffodil Classic swim meet in Tacoma.

Each year the highlight of this meet is the Daffodil Sprint Derby, where every age group competes in up to three rounds of the 25-yard freestyle to determine the sprint champion. Three Seals made it to the finals this year: Brayden Bernhardt, who placed 2nd in the boys 8 & Under division, Aliya Ricks, who placed 2nd, and Safron Hinz, who placed 4th in the girls 13-14 division.
