At last week’s special meeting, the Water District 19 board appointed Mike Weller to fill the remainder of the term vacated by Jenny Bell upon her moving outside the district boundary and becoming ineligible to serve. On behalf of the district, I thank Ms. Bell for her service, and also thank Tom Trigg, Wayne Miller, Kelly Goold and Mike Weller for offering to serve the remainder of her term. I’m grateful for their community spirit — the board was faced with the difficult choice of choosing only one candidate.
