Learn about new legislation

Wondering what the Washington state legislature has been up to the past two months it’s been in session? What new laws may be coming down the pike?

If you have concerns about how Washington is going to tackle issues like the environment, healthcare, social justice, and more, be sure to attend Indivisible Vashon’s next monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, on Zoom.

The legislature had over 2,000 bills to review, get public testimony, debate in committee, and vote on during their short session.

Meeting speakers will summarize some of the most important of these bills, at least as far as we know only a few days after the session has closed.

Even some bills that made it out of the House and Senate will certainly still be waiting for Gov. Jay Inslee to sign them into law, since he has until the end of March to do so.

Find out more at the Indivisible Vashon meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, on Zoom. To register, go to indivisiblevashon.org and look for the tab “Click here to register.”
