I fully support the desire expressed in Carole Meriam’s recent letter to the editor petitioning a switch to silent fireworks. I join my voice with those who are concerned about wildlife, domestic animals and those who suffer PTSD, for whom the fireworks show is torture. Please, let’s make the move this year, and honor our veterans and our island home.
