Vashon Opera presents ‘Cavalleria Rusticana’

David Grisman’s Dawg Trio with Danny Barnes & Sam Grisman

Mandolin innovator, Jerry Garcia collaborator and creator of “Dawg” music David Grisman will team up with Sam Grisman on bass, and banjo player Danny Barnes to deliver the Dawg Trio. Corky Parker reads new memoir

Author and former islander Corky Park, joined by Juli Morser, will offer a reading and discussion of Parker’s illustrated memoir, “La Finca – Love, Loss & Laundry on a Tiny Puerto Rican Island,” at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18, in VCA’s atrium. The event is free, with books available for signing and artwork from the memoir on view.
