Kat Eggleston in Concert

Kat Eggleston will perform at Kay White Hall at the Vashon Center of the Arts to benefit the work of Vashon Youth & Family Services (YYFS), specifically to support VYFS’ Home2Vashon program. The concert is at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6. Tickets, $25, are available at vashoncenterforthearts.org.

Vashon Opera presents ‘Cavalleria Rusticana’

Vashon Opera will present Pietro Mascagni’s “Cavalleria Rusticana” in performances at 7:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 5, and 2:30 p.m Sunday, Nov. 7, at Vashon Center for the Arts. For tickets, visit vashonopera.org.

David Grisman’s Dawg Trio with Danny Barnes & Sam Grisman

Mandolin innovator, Jerry Garcia collaborator and creator of “Dawg” music David Grisman will team up with Sam Grisman on bass, and banjo player Danny Barnes to deliver the Dawg Trio. Corky Parker reads new memoir

Author and former islander Corky Park, joined by Juli Morser, will offer a reading and discussion of Parker’s illustrated memoir, “La Finca – Love, Loss & Laundry on a Tiny Puerto Rican Island,” at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18, in VCA’s atrium. The event is free, with books available for signing and artwork from the memoir on view.
