Night Light Drive-in to open

Marvel Studios’ “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,” is one of the films scheduled to play this summer at the Night Light Drive-in, located at Open Space for Arts & Community. This is the third year for the drive-in, a partnership between Vashon Theatre and Open Space.

The drive-in will show a combination of new and classic movies this summer. New movies, like “Doctor Strange,” will cost $10 per car and driver plus $9 per passenger. There is a $10 walk or bike-in charge, per person. Classic movies cost $10 per carload of people, and $10 for those who walk or bike in.

Other upcoming films at the drive-in will include the 2021 version of “West Side Story,” “Singin’ in the Rain,” and “Everything All at Once.”

All tickets and concessions must be purchased in advance at vashontheatre.com. While you’re on the website, find out what’s coming up both at the drive-in and at Vashon Theatre.

Student dancers flex in concert at VCA

Vashon Center for the Arts’ dance program will present its annual spring dance concert at 7 p.m. Friday, June 3, and at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday, June 4, and then again at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 5, in the Kay White Hall. This year’s performance will feature work from multiple dance class levels, including a performance by advanced ballet students of the classical ballet, “Paquita.” An all-school program, “As Seen on TV,” will pay tribute to popular culture with all-original choreography from the VCA dance faculty, set to music from familiar television shows.

The concert will also be live-streamed. Find out more and get tickets at vashoncenterforthearts.org.
