Grammy winner, double-platinum singer-songwriter and activist Paula Cole will perform for one night only at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Kay White Hall.

Cole started her 20 plus-year career began as a jazz singer. After the success of her first solo album of original songs, Cole joined Peter Gabriel on his “Secret World Live” tour in 1993. Since then, she has released six more albums, selling over 3 million with hits like “Where Have all the Cowboys Gone?” and “I Don’t Want to Wait.” Her double platinum-album, “This Fire,” was nominated for seven Grammy awards.

Cole will pay homage to her first love of jazz and folk in the concert. Her album “Ballads” is a 20-song collection of American jazz and folk classics from the 1930s to the 60s and is a tribute to Billie Holiday and Bob Dylan, John Coltrane and Nina Simone, and Bobbie Gentry and Nancy Wilson.
