Members of the Vashon Island Chorale sang at Carnegie Hall, in New York City, this past weekend.

A local fan captured Chorale members (from left to right), Karen Baer, Mary Fran Lyons, Jo Ann Bardeen, Shannon Flora, and Judi Burwell, about to enter the stage door of the famed concert hall.

The Chorale was taking part in the New York premiere of “All Shall Be Well,” a suite of seven songs commissioned by the Chorale and Bardeen, which was first performed on the island. A mass choir of 75 voices from Northwest choral groups, and the 20-piece New England Symphonic Ensemble, filled the Carnegie Hall stage and was conducted by the composer, Giselle Wyers.
