Most galleries and art spots will be open from 6 to 9 p.m.

Café Luna will show “Garden Bliss,” a collection of paintings by visionary/healer Candise Bertram-Royer. The artist is both a children’s muralist and painter of “Soul Soaring Paintings.”

Island Paper Chase will celebrate Valentine’s Day with folded-paper winged hearts and other expressions of caring. The gallery’s annual origami hearts give-away will be held on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 10 and 11.

PSCCU will show two dozen charcoal portraits of island elders and mentors sketched by William Forrester at Vashon Community Care. Music will be provided by Ida Clare — Jasper Forrester, Mindy Little and Jean Richstad.

Anna Sander’s Honeybee Playschool students, ages 4 and 5, will show their ceramic artwork at Vashon Bookshop. Island ceramic artist Liz Lewis taught the kids last month.

Island artist Erin Schulz will exhibit “Vashon Equestrian” at The Hardware Store Restaurant. Schulz trained in classical realism and studied at Sichuan Fine Arts Institute in China, Gage Academy, Grand Central Academy and Florence Academy of Art.

Teresa McFall will show her dog portrait oil paintings at Vashon Island Baking Company. McFall studied art with Trey Freidman in Connecticut and Michael Stasinos, Suzanne Brooker and William Elston at Gage Academy.

Vashon Center for the Arts will feature a multi-media improvisation and exhibit of what was created last month during “big play, little mysteries,” an installation by Vashon artist Elizabeth Conners, with help from islanders.

Sarah’s Salon will feature photographs by Emerson Shedenhelm, who likes to shoot his nature-based subjects in black and white to make the images stand out.

VALISE Gallery collective members and their guests will show work highlighting the theme of love.

Raven’s Nest will have a grand re-opening of its newly remodeled gallery. Sue and Israel Shotridge will be on hand to talk about the shift they are making in their 28-year-old business, from previously featuring Israel’s work along with other Northwest Coast tribal artwork to online sales. The gallery will now serve as the brand store for the complete Shotridge Collection.

Christine Llavarone will be showing “Nana’s Lace,” an art installation based in ceramics, at SPOKE. Music will be provided by Christopher Overstreet.
