What’s Happening Dec. 3 – 10

Reggae legend Clinton Fearon releases a single, new shows from VashonLive, and more.

Reggae legend says ‘Fix It’

Pacific Northwest reggae legend Clinton Fearon, who has played many shows on Vashon, has a new single out. The song, “Fix It,” builds on the grooves of reggae to demand that everyone, from lawmakers to everyday people, work to fix the existential problems of climate change and social injustice.

A video for the song, easily searchable on YouTube with the prompt “Clinton Fearon – Fix It [Official Video]” was recently shot on Vashon, and contains cameos of well-known players from the island music scene, including Ron Hook, Sarah Christine and Pete Welch. Welch, of Vashon Events, is credited with helping support the production of the video.

Listen to the song, watch the video, and find out more about Fearon’s live-stream concerts and appearances at clintonfearon.com. And if you don’t have any Clinton Fearon albums in your collection, well, fix that.
