Granny’s Attic comes back, inch by inch

The beloved thrift shop has reopened for online orders, pickup and limited in-person donations.

Granny’s addicts, rejoice — Vashon’s beloved thrift shop has now reopened for online orders and pickup, as well as limited in-person donations to the shop.

For online shopping, head to vashon-grannys-attic.myshopify.com to see what’s on offer. For those who prefer old-fashioned window-shopping, stop by the store and do just that — many items are in the window. Customers can buy products at any time, and then pick them up from 12 to 5 p.m. on the store’s next business day. Days for curbside pick-up are Wednesday through Saturday.

The store is now planning to accept donations on Friday and Saturdays only, from 12 to 5 p.m., via a drive-by service. Those wishing to donate should enter through the main store parking lot on 100th Ave. S.W., and line up on the south end of the lot. The south entrance to the parking lot will be closed during donation hours.

Only limited donations can be made at this time, with the store accepting two grocery bags or similarly-sized boxed or bagged donations, as well as one bulky item that won’t fit in the bags or boxes. No furniture or other large donations, please.

Social distancing of 6 feet and mask-wearing are required for customers who pick up items purchased online and also those making donations. For a complete list of rules regarding the new services, visit Granny’s Attic Facebook page, or stop by the storefront — the rules are posted in the shop’s windows.
