Kids enjoy annual egg hunt

Hundreds turned out to Ober Park last weekend.

Dozens upon dozens of kids scrambled to grab Easter eggs as family snapped pictures on April 19 at the Vashon Park District’s annual Ober Park egg hunt.

The event included 3,500 eggs, music from VasHonk!, crafts with artist Tamara Paris and pictures with the Easter Bunny. The Vashon Park District estimated that more than 400 attended the event in total.

As with last year, the Park District worked with the Vashon Island School District Special Education Parent Advisory Council to host a sensory-friendly egg hunt before the larger event.
