With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Deborah Ann Schweitzer, who left us peacefully in the early morning hours of April 19, 2025, at her home on Vashon Island, Washington. She was 63 years old.

Born on January 4, 1962, in Burien, Washington, Debbie was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Wanita Carrico. She spent 52 wonderful years as a resident of Vashon Island, a place she deeply loved and proudly called home.

Debbie is survived by her devoted husband, Jay Schweitzer, and her four beloved sisters: Karen Bobren, Ada Laxson, Patti Bridges, and Shannon Kruse. She was preceded in death by her three brothers: Alan, Guy, and Kenny.

A kind and gentle soul, Debbie was known for her warmth, generosity, and quiet strength. She was a retired employee of Thriftway, where she made lasting friendships and touched many lives with her kind spirit.

“No farewell words were spoken,

There was no time to say goodbye.

You were gone before we knew it,

And only God knows why.

You are forever in our hearts, wrapped in love.”

She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
