January 25, 1928 – April 12, 2025

Doug was best known as ‘COACH’. He was a retired educator, football, swim and water aerobics coach. He was a U.S. Marine Sergeant in WWII and the Korean War in heavy weapons and a tank driver and commander. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, man of God, fisherman, animal lover, friend and coach of so many!

He is survived by his wife Karlista of 53 years, Children Craig Rickerson, Nancy Rickerson, Diana Briggs, Douglas Raymond Rickerson and his stepsons Karl, Peter, and David Aye. Grandchildren Megan Ratti, Miranda Rickerson, Alexandra Spurlock, Zachary and Conner Rickerson. Great-grandchildren Jayce and Oliver Rickerson.

Suggested donations to Vashon Athletic Club, Puget Sound Honor Flight and US Marine Corps Association.
