Frances Mehringer

Frances “Snooks” Belle Mehringer (Middling) died peacefully on Vashon February 25th, 2020, at the age of 76.

Snooks was born on February 27, 1943, on Vashon Island, the 5th child of Wes and Ruth Middling. She graduated from Vashon High School in 1961. In 1962 she married Theodore “Ted” Mehringer. They lived in Red Bluff, and San Jose, California, until moving to Vashon in 1970. Her career was spent working for Washington State Ferries for over 30 years until her retirement in 2009. She is survived by her son James Mehringer, daughter Terri Weed (Mike), Granddaughter Rebecca (Pat), Great Grandchildren Rj and Nara, many siblings and extended family. Her husband Ted preceded her in death.
