Maurice “Bud” Gersh

Bud was born and raised in Los Angeles where he learned to ride horses and raced a chop top.

Maurice “Bud” Gersh, long-time resident of Vashon Island, passed away in peace on May 4, 2019, at the age of 87.

Bud was born and raised in Los Angeles where he learned to ride horses and raced a chop top. During the Korean War he served in the Air Force as a firefighter. Bud enjoyed building homes, hanging wallpaper, and could fix just about anything.

He lived a 44-year long love story with his wife and best friend Jan.

He leaves behind his sons Eric and Darren, his step-daughter Debbe, his grandchildren Jackson, Ashley, Marcella, Cara, Jacob and Ben, his Great-grandchildren Cole, Keira, Haddie, Carson, Quin and Remmie.
