Nancy was known for her easy laugh, kind heart, and quick sense of humor

Ocotober 30, 1940 – April 28, 2025

Our beloved mother and grandmother, Nancy Radford, died on April 28, 2025, after a short illness. She was 84 years old. Nancy was born and raised in the Seattle area, the fourth of five children born to Grant and Alice Allen. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Grant and Jerry, and is survived by her sisters, Shirley and Theresa.

Nancy married Dick Radford in 1963, and they started a family, raising five children of their own, Laurie (Sam), Angie (Tom), Rick (Annie), Mark (Lisa), and Matt (Kristi) in a loving home on Vashon Island. Nancy and Dick were married for more than 30 years until Dick’s untimely death in 1993. As a grandmother and great grandmother, Nancy was happiest when she was spending time with Sam (Natalie), Josie (Josh), Emma (Hunter), Cody (Alexandra), Hunter, William (Raven), Ty, Kaylee, Kenneth, and Olivia.

Nancy was known for her easy laugh, kind heart, and quick sense of humor. She was active in her church and community on Vashon for more than 50 years. She was instrumental in establishing the Backpack Pantry on Vashon, whose mission is to provide healthy, kid-friendly meals to children in need. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the Backpack Pantry through St. John Vianney, PO BOX 308, Vashon, WA 98070 in her memory.
