Pamela Eve spent her youth in Redmond, Washington, on the beautiful Lake Sammamish. Pamela was the only child of a single Mother. Her father passed when she was 8. Her mother, a bookkeeper, gave her daughter the opportunity of being an equestrian. Pamela was a beauty queen, holding the title of Miss Apple Blossom. Her beauty was more than an exterior experience. She had a mind and imagination like no other.

She was a world traveler, a voracious reader, lover of theatre and the arts. Pamela’s abilities to create art, bonsai, stained glass, sew, paint, knit, write poetry, garden, bake, cook elaborate meals & create a home, filled with beauty, magic and inspiration were unparalleled.

She was well educated as a graduate of the University of Washington and also a Sorority Sister. With her unique brain chemistry she often had a foot in this world and also experienced the vastness of the worlds unseen by many, a psychic and intuitive individual.

Pamela spent a portion of her early 20’s in San Francisco, hanging with an art centered crowd. It was there she met the soon to be Father of her children. They met working at the post office. Soon after they quit their jobs and ran off to Europe together. They traveled by bike, train, hitchhiked, slept in pensiones and camped in fields. In France they conceived their first child, Oona.

As Pam became more pregnant, she longed to be state side. Pamela and Michael returned to Washington and moved to Vashon Island where they had their 3 sons, Aram, Fionn & Bran. Pamela was a leader in the movement of home birth, having her Son Aram at home and being recognized in her Community for this cutting-edge movement.

Pam loved to sing, with other Women in her Vashon Island community and performed with a local group called the “Blonde Cubans.” Pamela was involved in the Macrobiotic and Natural food movement. She was deeply involved in the La Leche League and Community of Mothers on Vashon Island where she raised her children.

She was also locally known for “The Peace Barn” which had a large scale art piece by Pam. The word Peace was hand painted by Pam in several different languages including Arabic, Spanish, Danish, Latin & Gaelic. It was a local landmark on Vashon Island, for many years.

As her children grew Pamela drove for a local delivery service known as The Pony Express. She then segued into being a full time bus driver for Metro on Vashon and eventually into Seattle. Her personable manor invited all she met to confide their life’s story to her. As a Seattle Metro Bus Driver for over 25 years, her stories which she collected were vast and varied.

She was a committed mother to her four children as well a dedicated daughter to her mother Lois. She loved being a grandmother to her three grandchildren. Pamela Eve will live on in the four hearts she co-created with her heart and the heart of Michael John Patrick Meade. Her legacy is passed on through her grandchildren: Stella Radiance, Zoë Frances and Nellie Lucille.

In Lieu of sending flowers the family is requesting that donations be made to the Arts and Mental Health organization, indicated below, honoring Pamela Eve Pederson, her love and dedicated support of theatre. As well as her personal challenges with Mental Health.
