Robert R. Burdette died March 11, 2002, in Las Vegas, Nev. He was 52 years old.

Mr. Burdette was born Dec. 15, 1949, in Portland, Ore., and moved to Vashon in 1962, graduating with the class of 1968.

After serving in the Air Force in Vietnam, he returned to Oregon. For the past two years, he was a sales manager for a tool supply company and was transferred to Las Vegas three years ago.

Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Aimee Van Arsdall of Las Vegas, his parents Hugh and Carolyn Burdette of Tacoma, a sister and her husband Susan and John Manca of Seattle, Eda Van Arsdall of Woodburn, Ore. and nieces and nephews.

There will be a private family service.
