Come to local impeachment rally

The goal is to show lawmakers that their constituents are behind them to defend the Constitution.

Dear Editor,

We are writing to spread the word to Vashon-Maury islanders that a “Nobody’s Above the Law” rally will be held at the 4-way stop in town the evening before the US House floor vote on articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump.

To get the exact date and time for the rally once a vote is scheduled, please RSVP at tinyurl.com/vkr3nom.

The goal of the event is to be a visible, family-friendly, public gathering to demonstrate to lawmakers that their constituents are behind them to defend the Constitution — and that Trump has left them no alternative to uphold their oath of office but to support impeachment and removal.

MoveOn.org is sponsoring events nationwide. Co-sponsors include Women’s March, Indivisible, Sierra Club, People for the American Way, Greenpeace, Common Cause, SEIU, National Organization for Women and many others.

Bring a sign or banner and your hope for democracy.

See you there!
