LETTER: People need to help themselves

I say we are all participants in a grand experiment concerning the nature of human freedom. God gave us certain abilities and consciousness to do what we can with them. Now God is watching us to see what we do with it. Some people are using their freedom and talents to diminish the freedom of others in order to acquire more things for themselves and obtain control over others for their own purposes. Such people believe they deserve whatever they are able to acquire simply because they are smarter, more skillful and, therefore, obviously more deserving. Other people are simply not as smart or talented than they are so everybody actually deserves what they end up with.

Some people are simply born to rule over others because they can. This might be described as survival of the fittest. Some of us were taught that this isn’t fair and not how things should be. In fact, some folks got together and made up rules that were intended to make things more “fair.” It seemed to work for awhile, but those rules are no longer being observed in the society we live in.

The “smart folks” lied to us, deceived us and we bought their load of crap. And so, now we’re back to survival of the fittest. Those who see themselves as more fit than others are moving full steam ahead and are happy with their prospects. What I observe so far is that very few are prepared to stop them. If we are dumb enough to let this happen, I don’t think God is going to interfere. And I don’t blame Him. God helps those who help themselves. Praying for help is not the same thing as waking up, getting educated and freeing yourself from the Matrix.
