Vashon Island artist Michelle Lassaline, whose cartoon artwork begins appearing in The Beachcomber this month, makes illustrations, fine art, and multimedia performances. She has an MFA from the Maine College of Art, and her work is in the collections of the WA State Arts Commission and Isle Royale National Park.
