Boys’ Soccer dominates Sultan High over break

The Vashon High School boys’ soccer team played one game this past week against Sultan High School.

Last season, the Sultan Turks beat The Vashon Pirates 3-0, but it was a different story this year as the Vashon Pirates enjoyed a festival of goals beating them 12-0. An impressive game was played by the Pirates, making a statement to every other team in the State.

The Pirate goal scorers were lead by Tommy Delargy with 5, Kieran Enzian with 2 and Sam Briggs with 2. Will Hennessey, Alden HInden-Stevenson, and Johan Vasquez each scored 1 goal.

Vashon will face off against Cascade Christian at home on Monday at 6:00 p.m. and it will be the last soccer game played at the stadium due to the construction there. On Friday, The Pirates will travel to Seattle Christian for another league match. This game will be played at Starfire Sports Complex, the practice fields of the world famous MLS Seattle Sounders. Playing at Starfire is always a treat.

At the moment, Vashon is tied for first place with Charles Wright Academy. It looks at though the Nisqually League Championship will be determined here at home on Vashon during Senior Night on April 27. The match will be played at the McMurray Field. Vashon Soccer has not managed to win a league title in the past couple of seasons, and a win would be a game changer for Vashon heading into the post season.
