U11 soccer teams in championship tournament

Both Vashon U11 boys soccer teams have qualified for the Tacoma-Pierce County Junior Soccer Association post-season championship tournament.

Both Vashon U11 boys soccer teams have qualified for the Tacoma-Pierce County Junior Soccer Association post-season championship tournament.

The Leanne Ehnat Championship Tournament was established for the first- and second-place teams in the Gold Division to play the first- and second-place teams in the Silver Division, out of which tournament a champion for each age/gender group is determined.

The Vashon Raptors qualified for the tournament in the Gold Division, and the Vashon Storm qualified in the Silver Division.

Both Vashon teams will play in the single-elimination semifinal round Saturday, Dec. 6, at Harbor Ridge High School in Gig Harbor.

At 1 p.m., the Vashon Storm will play the Harbor Rovers. At 3 p.m., the Vashon Raptors will play the FPSC Wolves.

The winners of Saturday’s games will play a final championship game on Saturday, Dec. 13, at the Art Crate field in Spanaway.
