Ruth E. Michalec

Ruth E. Michalec died July 13, 2005, at her home in Dockton surrounded by her loving family. She was 84 years old.
Mrs. Michalec was born on Jan. 19, 1921, in Dockton, the daughter of Elna and Walter Willers.
She grew up on Vashon Island and graduated from Vashon High School.
As a young woman, she loved to swim and dance. She was a local business woman for several years and went on to raise her family. After marriage and children, homemaking and family gatherings brought her joy. She was adored and loved by her family and they say she will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her husband Benny Michalec; her children Dennis Hidell, Cheryl Rathbun, Nancy Capps, Bernard (Bo) Michalec and Joseph Michalec; brother Glen Willers; grandchildren Lisa Fischer, Lisa Michalec, Brynna Michalec and great grandchildren Jaclyn Austin and Collin Fischer and Mackenzie and Mahayla Michalec.
A celebration of her life will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 23, at Dockton Park. It will be a potluck gathering.
