Dr. John R. Gregory

Dr. John R. Gregory died Feb. 9, 2006, in Meridan, Idaho. He was 87 years old.
Mr. Gregory was born Dec. 28, 1918, in Chicago, Ill.
He was a long-time resident of Vashon. He moved to Vashon with his family in 1957.
After completing his doctorate in 1963, Dr. Gregory rented the house on Sylvan Beach and set out to teach Motion Pictures, Radio and Television at Central Missouri State, The University of Southern Mississippi and Jackson State.
He and his wife Jessie returned to his beloved Sylvan Beach in 1980 and he remained there until July of 2005 when he moved to Meridian, Idaho to be near his daughter.
Survivors include his wife Jessie of Meridian, Idaho, his four children, Scott and his wife Linda Gregory of Annapolis, Maryland, Paul and his wife Patricia Gregory of Marietta, Ga., Gretchen and her husband Robert Burdin of Meridian, Idaho, Mark and his wife Greta Gregory of Phoenix, Ariz., nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
