Hans F.G. Gielisch

Hans F. G. Gielisch died Friday, March 17, 2006, at his home, surrounded by his family. He was 75 years old.
Mr. Gielisch was born Nov. 28, 1930, in Fuerstenwalde, Germany. He immigrated to Canada as a young man in 1953 where he met and married his bride and best friend of 51 years.
Together with their small family they settled on Vashon Island in 1969 where he worked for Pacific Telecom-CenturyTel until he retired in 1995.
He spent many happy years in retirement working in his yard, pursuing his hobby and spending time with family.
Survivors include his wife Hanna, two children, Josh Gielisch of Douglas, Wy., and Susan Paulsness of Renton; and eight grandchildren who each have many special memories of him.
Memorial services will be at noon Saturday, March 25, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Vashon Island.
A private family fewing only will be from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Graveside services will follow for all who would like to attend.
