Ivan Stephens Joseph Abramoff

IIvan Abramoff of Vashon Island died on April 13, 2006. He was a 33 years old.
Born in Seattle on Jan. 2, 1973, Mr. Abramoff moved with his family to Seaside, Ore., and then to Vashon Island, where he graduated from Vashon High School.
He worked as a crab fisherman and fished Magadan in Russia and the Bering Sea. He was also an underwater welder who did marine restoration. His most recent job was in construction.
He was an avid snowboarder and spent several months in Europe traveling and boarding.
Friends and family say Mr. Abramoff had a magical and charismatic presence that affected everyone around him. His grin was infectious; his personality was charming and his heart was steadfast. He had a close relationship with his family and his friends, toward all of whom he felt immense love and loyalty.
Survivors include his mother and father Lonnie and Warren Abramoff of Vashon; his brother Jeff Abramoff of Auburn; his sister Natasha Abramoff of Whidbey Island; his son Maxwell Abramoff of Mill Creek; uncles Mike LaPine of Bremerton and Scot LaPine, currently in Iraq; his aunts Lilly Christiansen of Kent; Dot Zigler of San Diego and Doris Godeot of Kent.
A service and celebration of Mr. Abramoff’s life was April 29 at the Vashon Youth Hostel.
