LETTER: From mother to sons: Proud of help offered during Vashon Energy fire

As a parent, I wanted to raise happy, well-grounded, productive human beings. I hoped that my children would also be compassionate to others.

There are no words to describe how proud I am of my sons Nicholas and Zachary Carleton. They saw Vashon Energy on fire and explode and went into action. Their act of bravery and compassion makes my heart swell!

You both are terrific; I love you tons!
