LETTER: Island predators require animal owners to take caution

Regarding our local coyotes and cougar: Could we please try to remember that we are the invasive

species? So please don’t leave coyote and cougar food roaming unprotected in your yard or pasture.

It’s your obligation to keep your pets and livestock safe. Don’t blame the coyotes or the cougar if they come by and eat what you’ve left outside for them.
