LETTER: After life begins, there is little support for mothers, babies

Published 1:30 am Tuesday, March 13, 2018

In response to Terry Peretti’s letter (“When does human life begin?” Feb. 28), most of us pro-choice folks believe that human life begins when the fetus exits the vagina and lands in the cold real world, where there will be precious little support of any kind for either mother or child. Many thanks to our elected officials who want to force women to bear children that they do not want and cannot care for, and then abandon those women once the baby is a viable entity. What kind of life awaits a crack baby? I wonder if Terry Peretti has ever seen one? Terry, help us pro-choicers understand. Tell us, why should you get to decide what we do with our lives and our bodies?
