Unifying for Democracy

Nearly 50 people turned out at a meeting on protecting democracy last Saturday, where Sen. Sharon Nelson; Shaun Scott, field organizer for Rep. Pramila Jayapal, and Dylan Cate, organizer from the Washington State Democratic Party, fielded questions about a wide range of issues, from voting for third party candidates to big money in elections.

Organizers for the event are still working on next steps and considering hosting drop-in meetings to discuss political issues and creating community-wide discussions before the November elections. More information will be forthcoming as they develop their plans.
