LETTER: Water District 19

On behalf of the commissioners and staff of Water District 19, I want to thank Jenny Bell for her four and a half years of service as a commissioner, which ended last month when she moved out of the district and became ineligible to serve. We will miss her dedicated focus on the betterment of the district and her passion for water conservation and efficiency.

The commission intends to fill the vacancy left by Jenny’s departure by appointing someone to serve the rest of her term, which expires at the end of 2019. If you are interested and reside in the district, please write to us at water19@water19.com, telling us why you want to serve, what skills you would bring to the position, where you live and whether you receive water service from the district. Put “Commissioner application” in the subject line, attach your resumé, and submit your letter by Thursday, September 13.

The commission will interview applicants and make an appointment at our Sept. 20 meeting.
