Vashon seniors celebrate an ending — and a beginning

The Vashon High School Class of 2009 graduated on Saturday, June 13, to the claps and cheers of friends, family and community members on the high school football field. Presentations ranged from the deeply moving to the educational, and attendees were treated to more than a few laughs.

“Your life is a story,” said Gene Tagaban, a Native American storyteller and inspirational speaker. “Right now, you’re still short stories, but one day you’ll be a novel. Tell a good story, and rock the world.”
