Pamela M. Jernegan, resident of Vashon from 1995 to 2003, died May 27, 2006, at her home in Richmond, Va. after a long illness. She was 58.
Mrs. Jernegan was a steadfast volunteer at Wednesday Night Dinner until ill health interfered. She was a gardener and supporter of Vashon farmers, a rescuer of unwanted dogs, a gourmet cook, and an embroidery expert.
Survivors include her husband Jeffrey, her son Kevin, her second father Wayne Meek (all formerly of Vashon), her brother Gary Martin of Mississippi, and sisters Barbara Angersbach and Suzanne Kohl of Washington.
A private family memorial gathering is planned for July in Seattle.
