Lawrence Roy Leonard
June 22, 1944 – June 18, 2009
Larry, 64, died at VCCC June 18, 2009 after a life-long struggle with diabetes. Born June 22, 1944 in Seattle, he grew up in Federal Way. From a young age he hiked, fished and rode horses. He worked as a sports writer in the 1970’s. His illness shattered his dreams but he loved sports and followed the Seattle Mariners passionately. He is survived by his sister Jan Leonard and her partner Mary Alice Sanguinetti of Dockton and Seattle. They extend thanks to VCCC staff where Larry found care and support this past year in a loving community with laughter and spirited good fun.
A private service was held in Auburn.
