Arnold R. Koriath, Sr., 86, died on Vashon Island April 14, 2005, with his two sons, John and Arnie, present.
He was born in Chicago on Nov. 16, 1918, and lived a good life with many blessings, which he deeply appreciated. He and his wife Josephine, also of Chicago, were married 42 years.
He enjoyed his friends and faith in Phoenix for 25 years, working with his hands helping others.
Survivors include his two sons and their wives, Kathryn True of Vashon and Shirley Suzor of Phoenix, Ariz., sister Marie Lewerenz, brother, George Koriath and five grandchildren: Alex of Vashon, Heidi of Flagstaff, Holli of San Diego, Logan of Santa Barbara and Taylor of Tucson.
Services were held in Phoenix.
Memorial gifts may be sent to Valley of the Sun Habitat for Humanity, with whom Arnold loved to build houses in Phoenix and Guatemala.
