LETTER: Neighborcare billing office not vigilant enough
Published 1:30 am Tuesday, September 4, 2018
I read the article regarding Neighborcare and their deficit, and I just have to comment.
In 2017 I had three claims denied by my insurance company because Neighborcare submitted them on an incorrect form. I contacted Neighborcare twice about this issue and even gave them the correct claim form number, and they did nothing about it, and my claims were never paid.
I am sure I am not the only person with that insurance company who had their claims denied for this reason. They would have likely used the same wrong claim form with everybody with that insurance company. With the deficit they are running, you would think they would be super vigilant to get every penny they are due from the insurance company. The billing office needs to be much more proactive in this regard, especially if they want the community to provide them with more money.
