Nancy Louise Wallrof | May 23, 1934 – September 3, 2025
With hearts full of love and gratitude, we remember the life of Nancy Louise Wallrof, who passed away peacefully on September 3, 2025, at the age of 91.
Nancy was born on May 23, 1934, in Seattle, Washington, to George and June Blair.
In the early 1940s, Nancy and her parents moved to Vashon Island, where she attended grade school, middle school, and high school. Nancy loved horses and rode her horse, Patches, yearly in the Strawberry Festival Parade. She was also a Vashon High cheerleader for three years.
Nancy married Paul Wallrof in 1957. They had three daughters and made Tacoma their home for many years, where Paul was a football coach for the University of Puget Sound. Nancy and Paul returned to Vashon in 1972.
Vashon became her lifelong home and the place where she built cherished memories with family and friends. Nancy lived a life rooted in love, faith, and family. She had a gentle spirit, a generous heart, and a quiet strength that carried those around her.
To her family, she was not only a mother and grandmother, but also a source of encouragement, laughter, and unwavering support. Nancy cherished simple joys — time spent with loved ones, the beauty of the island and the comfort of home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and June Blair of Vashon, Washington; her beloved husband, Paul Wallrof of Vashon, Washington; and her daughter and son-in-law, Krista and Scott Matthew of Tacoma, Washington.
Nancy is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Lisa Blair (Rich Benkert) of Vashon, Washington, and Jena Langston (Doug) of Puyallup, Washington; her grandchildren, Matt Overton (Bree) of Franklin, Tennessee, Shanan Ashley of Long Beach, California, Paul and David Langston of Puyallup, Wasington, Molly Botello (Rigo) and Madison Matthew of University Place, Washington.
She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Truette and Tatum Overton and Lorenzo Botello, and her sister-in-law, Marge Brown of Ft Wright, Kentucky. Nancy’s family will share an intimate gathering at the Vashon Cemetery as they say goodbye to their beloved mother, Grammy and Great Grammy.
Her love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
