Celebrate Pride

Come out and celebrate at the Show Your Pride Dance, from 7 to 9:30 Friday, June 17, in the Vashon Theatre’s parking lot. DJ NXMXGXLDXX will be spinning the soundtrack for an evening of intergenerational, all-ages fun including popcorn, treats and fresh made cotton candy, button making, a selfie station, Pride swag, glamorous guests and visits from queer royalty, including Ceasar Hart, Seattle’s Premier Drag King. Costumes are encouraged and dancing shoes are required. Youth under 18 get in free, tickets are $10 for adults and $25 for those who are able to donate a bit more. All proceeds support the DOVE Project’s work to build a safer and stronger community.

The dance is being presented by the DOVE Project, the Vashon Senior Center, the Vashon High School Queer Straight Alliance, and the McMurray Gay-Straight Alliance, and is funded by a generous grant from the King County Veterans, Seniors & Human Services Levy.
