Carolyn Sepulveda

Carolyn Jeanne Kroum Sepulveda died Wednesday June 28, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tacoma, after a long illness. Carolyn was born to Edward and Corina Kroum on April 27, 1946 in Burien, WA.

In 1958, her Dad’s job with Pan American Airlines brought them to Annette Island near Ketchikan Alaska, where Carolyn attended Jr High and High School. She graduated in 1964 from Metlakatla High.

In 1965, the family returned to Washington where they settled in the small town of Des Moines. Soon after arriving back in Washington, she met Donald Schwartzman. They married 3 months later and moved to Vashon Island. In 1968, Don was deployed to Vietnam and Carolyn keep herself busy working at Peoples Bank. The couple had two daughters, Denise and Kimberly. Don and Carolyn spent several years on Vashon before moving back to Des Moines.

Carolyn went on the have three more daughters from her second marriage, Amanda, Ashley, and Sarah.

She loved photography, scrapbooking and her beloved cat, Half A ‘Tash.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents and her youngest sister Janet. She is survived by two sisters, Delores and Sherry and her five daughters Denise (Jason) of Vashon, Kimberly (Warren) Gig Harbor, Amanda North Carolina, Ashley (Jesse) Chehalis and Sarah USN Virginia. She has eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.

A Funeral Service was held July 6, 2017 with burial at the Vashon Cemetery.
