Janet H. Sterling

She said she didn’t need an obituary, but she didn’t say anything about a thank you note.

Janet H. Sterling passed peacefully after a brief illness, still young at heart at 91, on June 27, 2020.

As per her wishes, there will be no service. She stated she wanted her life to be celebrated while she was alive and could enjoy it, including her 90th birthday party in 2019, surrounded by friends and family. She also said she didn’t need an obituary, but she didn’t say anything about a thank you note.

A big THANK YOU! to all of her friends from Bates College, where she excelled after being born in Cleveland Ohio on January 7, 1929. A huge THANK YOU! to all her friends and the community on Mercer Island and Vashon Island that she touched with her positive spirit. She so loved and appreciated you!
