Julie Marie (Cusson) Tietel

Julie Marie (Cusson) Tietel died suddenly on March 9, 2006, after contracting necrotizing fasciitis. She was 52 years old.
Mrs. Tietel was born on Aug. 19, 1953, in Portland, Ore. She moved to Vashon with her family in 1965, and graduated from Vashon High School in 1971. Shortly after high school she moved to Seattle, married and began her family. She moved to North Tacoma in 1993.
She met and fell in love with Herb, her best friend. They married in December 2000.
Mrs. Tietel spent the last 20 some years in the mortgage business and had just recently started her own business, Pacific Signing and Notary Service.
Survivors include her husband Herb Tietel, her son, Jed Smith and her daughter, Lindsay Smith and Lindsay’s fiancé Paul Cagle, grandchildren Tyler, Charisma and Gage Smith, all from Tacoma. Other survivors include her parents Arthur and Theresa Cusson of Salem, Ore., brother Mike Cusson and his wife Marilyn of Salem, sisters Patty Davis and her husband Jeff of Bellingham, Wash., Sue Anne Kuk and her husband Michael of Astoria, Ore. and Mary Warren of Salem, Ore., four nieces and five nephews.
Services were Saturday, March 18, at the Valley Bible Church in Sumner.
