Mary Redick passed away peacefully in June 19, 2025. Born and raised in Lima, Ohio, she was the daughter of Harlow John Redick and Viola Lucinda Schmehl, and a graduate of Shawnee Senior High School. After spending time in California during the Summer of Love, she eventually made her home on Vashon Island in the early 1980s, where she remained a beloved member of the community for over 40 years.

Mary had a deep love for music and performance. She was active in Drama Dock productions, sang with local groups, and was known for her strong voice and memorable Ethel Merman impression. A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she especially loved singing in the choir—often leading the congregation in joyful hymns.

Despite health challenges in her later years, Mary remained positive and full of curiosity. She will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, her compassion, and the music she brought to so many lives. A celebration of her life will be held at 11 AM on July 26, 2025, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 9330 SW 204th St, Vashon, WA 98070.
