Photos: Unveiling the new arts center

Vashon Center for the Arts (VCA) unveiled its new arts center, the Katherine L. White Hall, on Saturday. The event began at 10 a.m. with remarks by VCA Director Molly Reed and a ribbon-cutting by islander Kay White, 95, who donated the millions of dollars with which the project was largely funded. The public was then free to roam the entirety of the building and ask questions of the volunteers stationed throughout.
