The Vashon girls soccer team earned its eighth victory of the season against four losses with an 11-0 whitewash of the Life Christian Eagles on Thursday.

A total team effort was displayed as seven different players scored, led by three goals from junior forward Lliralyn McEachern (team leader with 17 goals) and two each from senior midfielder Lena DeGuzman and freshman midfielder Madelyn McEachern.

Junior goalkeeper Lauren Okinga kept a clean sheet for fifth time this season, with the help of a solid back line and a dominant effort from the midfield.

The stakes got higher this week as the girls traveled to play Bellevue Christian on Tuesday after press deadline. They will host the undefeated Nisqually League leader Seattle Christian on Thursday.

The Pirates wrap their up their regular season the next week with a game at Eatonville on the 23rd followed by their final home game of the season against Chimacum on the 25th.

In the following days, the team will fight for a top four finish in the league and a spot in the Tri-District tournament.
