Let a group of island comics and a Seattle headliner tickle your funny bone during Comedy Night, beginning at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Red Bike.

Hosted by Vashon’s funny man Steffon Moody, a cast of local comedians — Harris Levinson, Jonathan Kuzma, Michael Whitmore, Caitlyn Marie Little and Richard Franklin Moore — will back him up with their individual acts.

Headlining the evening of laughs will be a Seattlite who spent a lot of time on Vashon before making comedic tracks to Los Angeles.

Cara Rosellini moved to L.A. for college but stayed after graduation. She began acting, which in her lexicon means making lattes, took some improv classes and watched a lot of comedy. She eventually began writing and doing comedy sets at open mics.

“It was a great creative outlet that was available to me whenever I wanted,” Rosellini said. “From there it evolved into booked shows, roadwork and a great network of stellar comedians. I went back and forth between acting and stand up, then took a break and started a family.”

Rosellini and her family moved back to Seattle two years ago, where Rosellini said she began finding small but pertinent windows to resume comedy.
