Heights Water cancels boil alert

Heights Water has cancelled its boil-water alert for customers living south of its water towers.

On Monday morning Maryann Stipp, the general manager of Heights Water, said recent tests of the water showed no contaminants.

Last Wednesday a Heights Water crew was tapping the water main as part of an extended project to transfer services to a new water main when the old main broke, Stipp said. Repairs were completed on Friday followed by the water testing.
