Vashon Pirates win at home under Friday night lights

Vashon varsity football players took to the field to celebrate the team’s 16-10 win over Sultan on Friday, Sept. 17, on the Pirates’ home field at Vashon High School. The Pirates’ season thus far has been dramatic, with a 46-0 win over Highland High School in a Saturday afternoon game on Sept. 2, at home.
Days later, the Pirates didn’t fare as well, with a tough 28-6 loss at an away game at Cle Elum-Roslyn High School.
The Pirates will face East Jefferson High School next, at Vashon’s Homecoming game at 7 p.m. Friday, Friday, Oct. 1.
The team’s roster includes William Weber, Holland Moore, Logan Conner, Benjamin Godwin, Maxwell Delgado Williams, Samuel Walker, Oskar Weiss, Peter Ghigleri, Laith Jorge, Ryan Noonan, Michael Ryland, Chase Bradrick, Sawyer Ranney, Gregorio Chavez, Austin Ward, Emilio Serrano Corella, Aidan Green, Mitchell Lawson, Camdin Monson, Rowan Millet, Alfredo Garnica-Ramirez, Beren Lord, Daniel Shannon, Thomas Grose, Zander Rutschow, Ralph Miles, Joshua Sullivan, Phoenix Moore and Anthony Chorak.
